Purple Label - White suits are classic and timeless… polo anyone?
This blazer of unknown origin came to us from a Bulgarian Fashion blog. We could do without the poorly pressed tie or last years white shirt but we do love this blazer.
Versace hit the color mark with up the bright but not glaringly yellow. We’d wear this to work or play.
Suede Pennies… this should be a standard in your closet.
Is it Friday Night yet?
“Watch” It Wednesdays - If you are fortunate enough to own a Parmigiani Bugatti Type 370 then you have more free time than we do. This is aGoD’s watch if there ever was one.
“Watch” It Wednesday - Black with yellow accents. Wear this with ANY black suit and they will notice your hands first.
“Watch” it Wednesday - Audemars Piguet Millenary 4101 is… timeless? In silver or pink gold it is absolutely stunning.
Armani’s little brother Emporio still has the goods and no matter the cost you can’t buy style. (these might help a little)
We’ve searched high and low for the details on this look to no avail. It’s absolutely Gentlemanly and let us know if you have any info. Yes it says Banana Republic but no reference on their website for this. (FYI it is from the March 2012 Men’s Health Magazine)
This is NOT a Gentleman but he knows how to dress.
We are not sure how much we like Cole Haan under the Nike thumb but we are willing to give these a try in a few colors.
 Dress Shirt Collars

With Spring here remember some basic rules when choosing your dress shirt.

  • Button Down Collars - Save this for the no tie day. Throw over your favorite blazer and the new colored pants and you have a fabulous look. A bit preppy but distinctly gentleman.
  • Pinned Collars - Up tight and formal? Then have at it. This is the power look…a big meeting or business presentation? Go for it. Be sure to match with complimenting cuff links
  • Spread Collars - Only if you have a short neck or tie a full Windsor. It may be a a bit bulky for that spring look you are going for.
  • Tabbed or Hidden Buttons - Tie? No Tie? Yes and Yes. The most versatile shirt in your lineup. Throw the tie on to start the day and rip it off for a more casual “Drinks at my place?” look.
  • Standard Collar - This is for a tie most days. Be sure to use high quality collar stays. Stainless steel or heavy plastic are best. Also make certain the fit of the shirt if you choose to not wear tie. You don’t want the collar to spread too far.
